Bryan Dobson hangs up his mic after 37 years

Bryan first joined the national broadcaster in 1987, since then he has presented some of the station’s most iconic shows.Since 2017, he has hosted his own radio show on RTÉ Radio One and currently presents the News at One.Bryan announced his retirement in January.

“I am grateful too to the listeners and viewers who have give me their time and attention over the years. I hope to have repaid that trust with reporting that was relevant, fair and accurate.” The long running chat show shared a video of Patrick sneaking in to see Bryan on his radio show as they confirmed Bryan would be the one being interviewed this week.A post shared by The Late Late Show

In 1991 he became presenter of RTÉ One O’Clock News, later moving to present the Nine O’Clock News programme before being appointed anchor of the Six One News in 1996.
