A woman in her 80s was killed and several other people were injured - including a construction worker who is still in a critical condition - when a crane collapsed onto a home in Bow, east London

The body of an elderly woman who was killed when a crane collapsed on top of a house is still trapped in the rubble.Specialist firefighters will attempt to recover the woman's body from the severely damaged home on Thursday.

A construction worker remains in a critical condition in hospital. The investigation into the cause of the collapse is in its "very early stages" and there have been no arrests, said police.
