The BBC has said it was wrong for writing about Jacinda Ardern's resignation as prime minister of New Zealand with the headline:"Can women have it all?"

Angry commentators contrasted it with BBC headline writers' ungendered coverage of male politicians including Boris Johnson, the thrice-married father of seven who quit as UK prime minister last year.BBC sports presenter Gabby Logan described it as"dreadful" in a social media post. "We quickly recognised the original headline wasn't suitable for the story and changed it accordingly. We also deleted the associated tweet," a BBC spokesperson told AFP.

While she has not shied away from discussing the strains of office, she has been quick to shoot down sexist lines of questioning.

Apology from BBCNews would be good? 😡😡😡😡

Nothing about her being a nazi then

10 years ago this would have be great, right-on, remark, but the woke people have now become fascists sadly

Yeah they did

What a distractionary, non-story. Just stop with the woke BS. She's just another politician who's star has fallen, like many others and thankfully, based on her policies, it has! There's nothing misogynistic or sexist about the fact that her popularity is gone!

They have the headline wrong again...it should read.... BBC apologises for not reporting properly on the removal of a tyrannical leader. There much better 😊 your welcome RTE

Jesus wept!

Wow BBC sackt by GB after sexist remarks!

🙄 BBC

So what Has she apologised for all her wrongs? Cretins

BBc worries about the perpetually offended.

Al_toMyFriends Do we ask the same question about men? If not, why not?

Mis gendering her like that ' they are clearly a horse

She answered the question can female leaders be communist tyrants and the answer was yes. The lockdowns, forced injections and than attacking her own population who want informed consent and safety trials as crazy. She was pure evil

Can a tyrant have it all? As in can she impose authoritarian restrictions and then get re-elected in a fair democracy? No, no she can’t.
