Football Association chiefs have checked on Kane’s fitness after he limped off during Bayern Munich ’s 5-2 win at Darmstadt. Kane, 30, will join up at St George’s Park with the rest of the squad on Tuesday and there is a confidence that his twisted ankle injury issue is not serious.
Bayern Munich sporting director Christoph Freund said: “He will be looked at in England. He has trusted doctors there. We are in close coordination on this. Harry won’t take any risks.” In a statement, Bayern said: “ Harry Kane injured his left ankle in FC Bayern’s 5-2 win at Darmstadt. The striker has still travelled to international duty with England and will be treated by the team doctors there, in close consultation with the FC Bayern medical department.”
“I genuinely don't know the answer to that. That will depend on what sort of cover we need and what the profiles of the rest of the squad are, so whether we need a couple of players that are adaptable and can play in different positions, which means you can take specialists in certain other positions.
