In a 'disturbing' letter, the Iranian Ambassador accused Bacik of exaggerating about the situation in Iran.

The Labour Party leader has said that she received a"disturbing" letter from the Iranian Ambassador after she spoke about the protests in Iran.

Earlier this month Ivana Bacik TD accused the regime of"brutal violence" in attempts to stop the protests."At that point, we'd seen documented cases of such brutal treatment: killings, beatings, detention", she said."So I spoke in the Dáil 19th October and on the 25th October I received a very very disturbing letter from the Iranian Ambassador suggesting to me that I had been guilty of exaggeration in my emotive expressions.
