An Australian woman has woken up after a serious surgery to find herself speaking with an Irish accent.Foreign Accent Syndrome is medical condition in which patients develop speech patterns that are perceived as a foreign accent that is different from their native accent.

“My accent is not as thick as it was last week. In terms of how I am coping, I am definitely still in the third stage of grief, and the last two days were not pretty,” she said on her Day 9 video.
