His wife Stella was among people who gathered outside Britain's Home Office in central London today to step up calls for the WikiLeaks founder to be released from prison.
He will spend his birthday in Belmarsh Prison in London tomorrow while a lengthy legal battle continues over whether he can be extradited. UK Home Secretary Priti Patel approved the extradition to the US last month, but an appeal application was submitted to the London High Court today. Mr Assange is wanted by American authorities over documents leaked in 2010 and 2011 related to the Iraq and Afghanistan wars.
He has been in prison since he was dragged out of the Ecuadorian embassy in London in 2019, where he had been living since 2012.

UK parliament upholds ban on babies in Commons chamberThe report was ordered amid an outcry over MP Stella Creasy being told she can no longer have her baby son with her in the House of Commons Babies everywhere rejoiced. 100% agree, babies have no place for in the workplace. Their either allowed in all workplaces (which isn’t safe or appropriate) or none. Wow, it's almost like she just using the child as a prop. Also she should either focus on her job or stay at home to look after the child
