Arsenal face Bayern Munich at the Allianz Arena with their Champions League quarter-final tie finely poised at 2-2, and the pressure is on Mikel Arteta to get his starting XI right

Mikel Arteta has a few selection dilemmas ahead of Arsenal’s crunch Champions League showdown with Bayern Munich .

Leandro Trossard faced the cameras for UEFA’s official pre-match press conference on Tuesday night after Arsenal arrived in Munich. That could easily be seen as a clear sign that he would be starting… but Arteta has played a regular game of bluff with his selections. But Arteta is certainly not averse to trying to use the media to his own ends, whether that’s saying Bukayo Saka is fit… and then admitting he was never in contention. Or be selective in which players are pictured in pre-match photo shoots.

‌And maybe we are overlooking the fact that Trossard could start. He scored in the first leg against Bayern as a substitute which perhaps makes him a valid shout as the player to face the media.
