AP McCoy told host Patrick Kielty how a fortune teller predicted his success as he appeared on Friday's Late Late Show on RTE .
The former jockey enjoyed a number of days at the races in Punchestown this week as his former boss JP McManus recorded a couple of winners. McCoy, who turns 50 on Saturday, reflected on his career and his life since retiring from the saddle in 2015.Speaking on the show, McCoy revealed that a fortune teller had predicted his success when he was just 16, reports Belfast Live.
He said: "I went to Jim Bolger's this week in 1990 when I was 15. I went to the Strawberry Fair in Wexford in 1991 with a friend of mine, Conor Everard. "I don't know what the fortune teller told him but I went to this fortune teller when I was 16 and she told me that she could see horses and big stages."I remember going back to Conor and said that she didn't know what she was talking about!Sign up to our horse racing newsletter here to get news direct to your inbox.
