He's a hit with viewers

Ireland AM viewers were greeted by Anton Savage on Monday morning's show as regular hosts Alan Hughes and Tommy Bowe took the day off.

Monday's lineup sees Muireann and Anton catch up with the latest news in current affairs and sport as well as interviewing sports broadcaster Lee McKenzie and discussing what's happening in the I'm A Celebrity jungle.Muireann confirmed at the top of the show that Anton was joining her for the day while her regular co-hosts Tommy and Alan took the day off.

The Newstalk presenter previously opened up about stepping in to front the Virgin Media breakfast show.
