Households across Ireland will soon see their electricity bill slashed by €100 as the date for the subsidy scheme has been confirmed.Around 2.1 million account holders will benefit from the scheme which will be automatically applied to all customers, meaning people don't need to apply for it.
It has since been reported that the plan is on track for the €100 to be deducted from peoples' bills by the end of March. "In cases where a tenant is not the account holder, whether the account holder passes on any portion of the credit is a matter between the account holder and the tenant."People with second residences, like holiday homes, will be wondering whether they can double up on the savings.
