The jury of five men and seven women delivered their verdict today, having they earlier found Brady guilty of the robbery at Lordship Credit Union in Louth in 2013 which led to Detective Garda Adrian Donohoe being shot dead.
Brady, aged 29 and of New Road, Crossmaglen, Co Armagh, had denied involvement in the robbery of €7,000 at Lordship Credit Union in Bellurgan, Co Louth on 25 January 2013. He had also pleaded not guilty to the capital murder of Detective Garda Donohoe at the same location during the robbery. The prosecution alleged that Brady was the gunman who fired a single shot that fatally wounded the detective.
