Image: Jacquelyn Martin THE US SUPREME Court has ended constitutional protections for abortion that have been in place for nearly 50 years in a decision by its conservative majority to overturn Roe v Wade.
“The Constitution does not prohibit the citizens of each State from regulating or prohibiting abortion,” he said. Former US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton said: “Most Americans believe the decision to have a child is one of the most sacred decisions there is, and that such decisions should remain between patients and their doctors.
“Because of Donald Trump, Mitch McConnell, the Republican Party and their supermajority on the Supreme Court, American women today have less freedom than their mothers,” Pelosi said. “Judicial activists declared that every state had to handle abortion like China and North Korea and no state could handle it like France or Germany. It’s not my right to kill my baby but it is the baby’s right to live and to live free of violence. As a woman I, and many like me, are delighted at this first step to banning abortion. Time to respect, protect and provide for women and children.
The people who cheered on as the world was shut down to justify 'even saving one life' are now up in arms about removing a piece of legislation that will save thousands of lives. Cope harder, cat lovers.
