We have all seen the rise of the clean-fluencers on social media. We often find ourselves in awe of self-builders who pride themselves in creating their dream cribs from scratch. But how about the sustainable home connoisseurs? Well, I guess there aren’t too many out there. But we all want to be more conscious nowadays, whether through our own need to reduce costs, or a growing sense of responsibility for the planet.
Water Water wastage is a common theme for most busy households with showers, dishwashers and washing machines always in use. My approach to water and utilisation of water is an important factor when looking to make my home more sustainable. We have been led to believe that water is infinitely abundant, when in fact it is not – and being more conscious can set us all on the right path for being more sustainable in our homes.
By understanding the issue and then exploring the energy, waste and water being utilised/generated by your family each day, you can become aware of small changes which you can make – and guess what? Small changes made by everyone can have a big impact! Curious about anything I discussed here or just want to share your thoughts on sustainable homes? Find me on Instagram: @iampatkane.
