68 new cases of Covid-19 confirmed

The NPHET confirmed at this evening's briefing that Ireland's death toll from the virus remains static at 1,772.

41 of today's cases are associated with the recent outbreaks that have forced lockdowns in Laois, Offaly and Kildare - or from close contact with a known case. Two are confirmed as community transmission.
