This survey, carried out by Ipsos-MRBI for the IPHA surveyed 975 people aged over 18 and found that 55% of them would take a COVID-19 vaccine if one became available, one third were unsure while 12% said they would not take it.More than 150 Covid-19 vaccines are in development globally, with about a dozen of them in late-stage clinical trials and yesterday, the American infectious disease specialist Dr Anthony Fauci said there could be definitive news on a vaccine by the end of this year.
Oliver O'Connor, chief executive of the IPHA said the priority for the industry is finding a vaccine that is safe and that works. Between the period of 11 October and 24 October the county had a rate of 966.2. Although it remains the highest rate in the country the rate is falling. On Thursday last the rate stood at 1055.5 per 100,000 of population.The number of people in intensive care units as of 7:30pm yesterday with the virus is 39, up one on earlier figures recorded yesterday.
He said that most close contacts were from households. He added that while it was too early to be an indicator, it was still a good sign.

I'm not against vaccinations. I've had plenty but wouldn't take this thing. You must be joking. It takes years to fully ensure a vaccine is safe.
I’m vaccinated, my kids are vaccinated but I would not take a vaccine with zero safety trials. Vaccines take 10 years to determine safety. This has taken 10 months. First question you should ask your self is what if it’s not safe?
