But the numbers are still too small to be able to confirm any definite patterns.
The HSE is now working to identify any contacts the patients may have had to provide them with information and advice to prevent further spread. Dr Holohan said they were also asking gardaí to help encourage the public to abide by public health advice on social distancing by encouraging groups congregating in public to disperse.
More than 10,000 people in Ireland have now been tested for the Covid-19 virus | https://t.co/IzEeNH9p8r pic.twitter.com/xRYHOHIN5q With regard to social distancing guidelines, the chief clinical officers said that the HSE's own surveys suggest that there is "widespread compliance" with the guidelines.
Social distancing working then, just like in Italy.
Stay home
Great to see the numbers down two nights in a row; have no doubt they won’t stay down but genuine question; where on earth did they pull the 15,000 by end of month from Seems highly unlikely that over 14,000 ppl will test positive in 9 days! 🤷♀️
If results take 4-5 days are we getting the number of cases for last Monday/Tuesday today?
Not new cases. I believe results come around 3 days after the test is performed and the tests are performed 3-7days after a person reports that they have CV symptoms, usually 5-14 days after infection. So, 102 more people of 11 - 24 days infected/infecting.
When are we going into to lock down
Send a testing kit to every household in ireland !
Hope the Irish government take extra steps to closed all retail. What happening in Itly is scary
By giving details of exact locations of these cases & no disrespect to the people who do have it,the people close to the cases are more likely to stay at home which can only help!
KolannLfc Fernando Torres is dead fernandead
There is a waiting list for tests, GPs are closed so people can’t call them and be referred for testing which is how everyone arranges a test. And isn’t the Croke park testing centre closed at weekend too?
Sorry RTE but you need to do better!! Tweets, headlines and live feed reporting INCREASE of 15% on numbers versus yesterday. Today’s numbers are 102, yesterday was 126. You need to get this right!!! You are the national broadcaster it’s not good enough!
This is a drop on yesterday. Why is news at 9 reporting an increase
Take care of our health workers! Supply hazmat suits!
A quarter. A quarter of cases are health workers. And they are not even wearing hazmat suits! What the actual fvck!
How can 102 be an increase of 15% on yesterday’s figure of 126?
So much for this thing not even hitting its peak yet, that 15,000 figure Leo gave out was a load of shite that just got people panicking🤡
Tests are way up,, results not back yet, true indication will be next weekend in my view,, but jeez lets hope the trend is falling 🙏🙏
Well done Ireland 🇮🇪 keep up the good work! Keep the numbers down.. hygiene and social distancing 🤞🏻
Let's take the positives.Keep up the great work Ireland. Simple disciplines are required to save lives and get the country operating again.
Still 30 more than 3 days ago
Really positive. Looks like all the good work of the Irish people is paying off . Wonder is it helpful that we are an island.
We need to keep our foot on the coronavirus. Take it off and it won't show us any mercy.
Are the algorithms showing a dip, in cases of the Virus, ratio, of more texts taken to the cases of the virus, hoping this is so.
Another drop since yesterday. Fingers crossed 🤞 this pattern continues
Whenever we do become 'case free' we're still gonna have to ban incomings and outgoings for a while, otherwise the cycle starts again 🤔
Keep doing what we're doing now and we'll get through this lads
Perhaps they might also publish the number of those tested too, as the number of cases is completely irrelevant without knowing how many were tested to arrive at that number ?
Would love to start hearing how many have recovered in the stats reported
Early days yet lads but keep the good mental thoughts going. We will beat this ... you’ll never beat the ☘️
While this looks positive it isn’t the time to become complacent
I believe we are weathering the storm due to our determination, culture in dealing with disease and our Irish uniqueness!
How many tested in comparison to the last few days
we need to create some financial space, to allow us to look after our elderly and vulnerable.utility and insurance companies should from midnight cease asking customers for payment and allow us and our economy to ride this storm out.. because if we are dead, it's all irrelevant?
keep the borders open 👍well done 👏👏👏
the cases are going down does that mean we will go school
