Golkar wants a party to have good infrastructure and cadreship before occupying parliamentary seats . Golkar also requests that no political party introduces a new ideology when in parliament. Previously, the Constitutional Court assessed that the 4 percent threshold requirement stated in Law Number 7 of 2017 was not in line with the principle of popular sovereignty . The Constitutional Court ordered that the 4 percent parliamentary threshold be changed before the 2029 election.
