I am pretty shocked. It’s great. I never expected this album to have the response it’s had, but I’m very honored. I love that everyone’s connecting with it so much and, like, responding well to it.
Yeah. She’s me in a lot of ways, but it also can just be a small-town girl or guy, just like a suburban… Being from, like, a small place, a small town or, like, you know, a mundane area of the Midwest, or wherever, it doesn’t even have to be the Midwest. And just being, like, a little too much.
I think being a little too loud, a little too drunk at things, a little too crazy, a little too tacky. Maybe not the most stylish, but you know, you have your friends and you, like, put on your jean shorts that you, like, picked up off the floor and you just kinda live your life and dream about other things, I guess. That’s kinda like what the worst…That’s like the ethos of everything..
