TURIN, Italy (AP) — Scotland striker Che Adams scored a decisive double for Torino to beat Cagliari 2-0 on Friday to record only its second Serie A win since October. Adams opened the scoring in the 39th minute, firing a low shot into the bottom corner after a clever pass from teammate Samuele Ricci. He doubled his tally in the 68th minute, converting a rebound from close range after his initial effort was saved by Cagliari goalkeeper Radja Nainggolan.
Torino's victory moves them up to 11th in the Serie A standings, while Cagliari remain in the bottom three. The match was a tense affair, with both sides creating chances but unable to convert them until Adams's double strike. Torino's manager Ivan Juric was pleased with his team's performance and praised Adams for his crucial goals.
