Many people in the local area are not familiar with this shopping destination so I hope that this column will change that.
I must admit that I knew very little about this social enterprise but a quick call to Kim Bedecki, its executive director, sure fixed that. DivertNS provided funding to get the store in Glace Bay up and running. Recently, Cape Society received funding to purchase a cash register that could be modified for persons with disabilities as well as a Cricut machine for their woodworking projects.
