Your distracted driving is deadly. What will make you stop?
In order be ticketed for distracted driving, a driver must be in violation of The Traffic Safety Act. Section 241.1 states “No driver shall hold, view, use or manipulate electronic communications equipment while driving a motor vehicle on a highway.” Use of a hand-held mobile device is prohibited for all drivers in operation of a vehicle. Experienced drivers can use hands-free cellphones if they are activated through voice commands or one touch. Hands-free cellphones should be dashboard, visor or cradle mounted. New drivers do not have this privilege.
