Yikes: Police say man ingested weed he mixed with his mother’s ashes

A Menomonee Falls, Wis. man has allegedly taken a page from the Keith Richards book of disposing of parental remains, and mixed his mother’s ashes with cannabis and other drugs.

Police said they received a tip that Schroeder and his partner were selling illicit substances and dispatched an informant on two separate occasions to their Waukesha apartment. The informant purchased cannabis from the couple and investigators searched the residence a few days later, discovering 70 g of cannabis, a “small amount” of MDMA, a digital scale and several bongs.

Per the criminal complaint, Schroeder told police his mother died just over a year ago, and that “he took some of her ashes and mixed them with a variety of substances, some of which he ultimately ingested.”
