Five Canadians qualified to race season-ending pursuit Saturday at Canmore Nordic Centre

Emily Dickson won’t get to race Saturday but she won’t lack for fellow Canadians to cheer on in the World Cup biathlon pursuits at Canmore Nordic Centre.

Her three female teammates - Nadia Moser of Whitehorse,Yukon; , Emma Lunder of Vernon and Benita Peiffer of Whistler all made the cut for the pursuit, based on their top-60 finishes in Thursday’s sprint race. Moser was 55th in the sprint and will start the pursuit two minutes 31 seconds after sprint winner Lisa Vittozzi of Italy leaves the start gate. Lunder was 58th and Peiffer was 59th .Runnalls placed 41st , while Connelly was 58th .None of the Canadian team qualified to race in Sunday’s mass start races in Canmore which will end the World Cup season.
