Now, three key members of Canada’s “golden generation” have their eyes on winning another major honour, specifically the Women’s Ballon d'Or, presented to the world's top soccer player.

Forward Christine Sinclair, who plays in the NWSL with the Portland Thorns, highlights the list of Canadian nominees. Sinclair, a 38-year-old native of Burnaby, B.C., ranks as international soccer’s all-time leading scorer with 188 goals. "It's about damn time Canadians get some respect on the international stage," Canadian goalkeeper Stephanie Labbe concurred."Gold medal helped but these three have been phenomenal for the last few years."Given that Canada won gold at the Olympics this summer, and that Sinclair, Fleming and Lawrence were key players for the Reds in Tokyo, all three are in the mix. FIFA says opponents of 2-year World Cup fear losing top spot - TSN.caOpponents of FIFA’s push for World Cups every two years seem scared of being toppled from the top of world soccer, its president Gianni Infantino said on Friday. Nonsense.. I’d rather watch a competition between the best of Europe and South America anyways. Take 10 from Europe 6 from South America and it would out sell a watered down 48 team biannual World Cup. The other federations are still generations behind. How would a 2-year world cup give Africa a better chance? Would Europe and SA's best not compete every time? Even if there was a way to give worse teams a better chance why would you want to? Why would you want to water down the world cup. Just admit it's 100% about money

I feel like that's the entire hearing.
