The WSJ report noted the inappropriate questions were asked in an effort to screen out any potential employees who could blackmail or exploit Gates. It’s not known when the women were interviewed for the jobs or how many sexually explicit questions were asked., a Gates Ventures spokesperson said the company’s hiring process is conducted “with the utmost respect for each and every candidate, with a zero-tolerance policy for any participants, including service providers, who break this principle.
“Further, any implication of any connection between Bill Gates’ personal history and an independent background check process, identical for men and women, is outrageous,” the spokesperson concluded.reported Concentric Advisors has denied that female candidates were treated differently than male candidates.
The company stated the sexually explicit questions were not part of its usual screening process and that candidates were free to talk, or not talk, about their personal history.
