A woman in her 20s was rushed to a hospital after a stabbing on a TTC streetcar running onToronto police said on Twitter that officers were called to the scene around 2 p.m. The victim was found with multiple stab wounds and was taken to a hospital via emergency run. Paramedics told the Star she sustained serious but non-life-threatening injuries.
Officers arrested the suspect on scene. Police say it is unclear whether victim and suspect knew each other.
We really need to allow people to carry less lethal weapons for self defence. It can give them a chance to get away if they are attacked. Sometimes even brandishing it might make an attacker think twice. It’s unreasonable to criminalize people who want to protect themselves.
