From JLew1050: With or without Siakam, Raptors need more from Lowry in Game 4. MORE:

PHILADELPHIA – Immediately following their embarrassing Game 3 showing, it was hard to imagine things getting any worse for the Toronto Raptors.

An ironman for the Raptors over the last couple years, missing a total of three games over that span, Siakam will surely do everything he can to be out there. His head coach Nick Nurse noted that there’s no serious or structural damage to the calf. Assuming it comes down to pain tolerance, you can bet he’ll try to play through it, especially with his team’s season – and quite possibly their future – on the line.

“We got to step up,” Lowry said ahead of Toronto’s Saturday afternoon practice at Philadelphia’s Wells Fargo Center. “I've got to step up even more. I've got to step up way more than I have.” While he’s not the only Raptors player that’s guilty of it, Lowry has been overly passive at times this postseason. The same can be said for Marc Gasol, another unselfish, pass-first veteran. Together, they combined for 14 points on 4-of-16 shooting in Game 3. Of course, neither the point or shot totals are ideal, but their coaches and teammates would tell you the 16 shots are far more worrisome than the 14 points.

Asking Lowry to be more aggressive offensively isn’t asking him to do something he hasn’t done or isn’t capable of. Up until last season, when the Raptors redesigned their offence to be more free flowing, that was Lowry’s role as the second option behind DeMar DeRozan.

JLew1050 Canadians are tough! Pain don’t hurt. We play harder when we are hurt........

JLew1050 They gotta dig in and go to work Josh. Getting destroyed on the glass. Can’t keep giving away second chance points. It all starts on the defensive end! Thoughts?

JLew1050 Come on Spicy P, it’s the playoffs, suck it up and play. It’s a bruise.
