Four residences, three garages and approximately a dozen vehicles were broken into during the months-long break-in spree, police said in a news release Tuesday. The thefts happened at over a dozen residences in the southwestern and southeastern parts of the city, as well as the William Whyte neighbourhood.
In the early morning hours of Sept. 9, someone broke into another resident's garage and stole three bikes valued at approximately $2,000. Later that day, approximately $1,800 worth of the stolen jewelry was sold at a trader on Henderson Highway, police said.

Never heard of that type of break in before. Curious about the investigative work that showed it did not deserve more serious charges. Or did I read that wrong. 😂😂
