Why Greta Thunberg is now protesting wind turbines in Norway

Thunberg had on Monday joined protesters demanding the removal of 151 wind turbines from reindeer pastures used by Sami herders in central Norway. Thunberg, holding a red, blue, yellow and green Sami flag, was lifted and carried away by police officers from the finance ministry while hundreds of demonstrators chanted slogans. Thunberg and other demonstrators later blocked the entrance to the climate and environment ministry and were again removed by police.

Reindeer herders say the sight and sound of the giant wind power machinery frighten their animals and disrupt age-old traditions.

This is typical leftist enviro hypocrisy. She decries all countries for not being green and now protests Norway for being green. You can’t have it both ways. We have known for a very long time that moving to wind and solar has many environmental repercussions that are not good.

Amazing how a young idealistic autistic person has the capacity to believe in more than one cause. And see how her beliefs may impact others. She’s fighting for indigenous rights here. The rage she draws from conservatives is inspiring.

Deachman: If not a joint commission on hip and knee surgeries, how about some transparency?Why isn’t the province making moves to deal with the surgical backlog directly through hospitals? What a well written article. Yes we do have to discuss this. Why can't the province in its own hospitals take care of the backlog ? They are shipping in supplies from Toronto and have been really shifty in acquiring staff for cash without deductions. All this is costing 4-5 times more then our regular healthcare . It is a slap in the face for those workers who actually work at the Riverside site
