Police in Montreal launched the investigation and got help from the OPP-led Provincial Joint Forces Guns and Gangs Enforcement Team.Police searched a vehicle and a home on Ridelle Road, near Allen Road and Eglinton Avenue on March 27.
They seized approximately 60 kilograms of cocaine, about 13 kilograms of meth, 20 firearms including 19 handguns and one assault rifle, 3,000 rounds of ammunition, 53 magazines, four drum magazines, 66 Glock auto switches which are used to convert to automatic firearms, three bullet proof vests and one ballistic helmt.
Bradley Nelson, 35, of Whitby was arrested in Toronto by the OPP team. He’s now facing the following 68 charges:· Unauthorized possession of a firearm knowing its unauthorized – 20 counts· Possession of a firearm contrary to a prohibition order – two counts· Trafficking of a controlled substance, cocaine· Possession for the purpose of trafficking, cocaineToronto police helped the OPP team as well.
