Where does Canada stand on geoengineering? Nobody knows

There is a Japanese proverbial story of three wise monkeys who “see no evil, hear no evil, and speak no evil.” It implies that those who pretend to be ignorant of an issue can maintain no moral responsibility for it. This seems to be the government’s approach to geoengineering. Solar geoengineering—also known as climate interventions—is a group of technologies which theoretically can be used to modify the global climate.

Changes to marine shipping fuel regulations in 2020 have recently been shown to have contributed to the spike in global ocean temperatures, and this has been taken as evidence in favour of marine cloud brightening, a more regional form of solar geoengineering.
