As far as the parliamentary calendar goes, there are still a few weeks — three, to be exact — to go before the House of Commons enters the final stretch of sittings before the summer recess, which typically marks the start of a last-minute scramble to get as many bills as possible to the finish line before it shuts down for the season.
Still, given the glacial pace at which most government legislation has been moving through the chamber, it’s a good bet that the Liberals have already started to put together a working list of bills that they’re hoping will clear at least the House of Commons, and ideally, the Senate as well, by June 21.
