'We can't let up': Key issues to address before second wave of COVID-19 in Canada

TORONTO -- As new COVID-19 cases in Canada follow a downward trend, a national association of physicians is warning Canadians not to let their guard down.

Whether there will be a dramatic surge akin to a “wave” remains to be seen. Instead, CMA President Sandy Buchman thinks Canada might see “little bumps here and there” like we’re at the top of a ski hill.“It’s a hill full of moguls. We need to find our way through the moguls, the bumps that are bound to occur,” he told CTVNews.ca over the phone on Wednesday.

“We can’t let up,” said Buchman. “We have to continue to be vigilant about the public health measures. If we’re not doing that we can suffer another lockdown and way more restrictions.”

I've absolutely 'let up.' You aren't going to shut me down ever again.

So it's a foregone conclusion that a second wave is coming? Lockdowns to end in early November if creepy Joe wins?

'Canada' Meaning Montreal, Quebec City, and the Golden Horseshoe in Southern Ontario.

Learn to have an everyday normal life and live with the virus

They barely understand the past and now they think they can predict the future

If we didn't have a Chinese spy as Chief health official we could have closed the border early. But thats okay people will die. You just keep smoking weed thats exactly what they want. Drugged population can't protest.

The Prime Minister being 1.

Fear mongering.

Track and Tracking Think about this. The Government has decided to track and trace you for a greater purpose. Perhaps we need to think about what this government is really doing.

Fake news

Think about this. You have just been told that a 'Second Wave' is coming. What is going on? If you still think this is about a virus, you have not been paying attention.

CTVAtlantic Now that it's been confirmed that there's a second wave of Covid coming - anyone have a date when it will arrive. Just wondering how many days that remain to make masks mandatory which will pretty much stop Covid in it's tracks

What they are trying to beat around the bush saying is another virus is coming and we need to prepare. We already know that. Our govt has handled this very poorly and left cdns vulnerable. I protect myself and don’t listen to anyone. I will do that until I feel comfortable.

It's a lie.

good grief, just THINK if we in Feb 2020 did something besides call Cdns racist

'Canadians must continue to adhere to public health measures, including physical distancing that has proven to help flatten the curve' We've had the same curve as Sweden's. Actually Sweden's was flatter than ours until they ramped up testing w/ no death increases.

Except we did let up CTV, including you! For over a month you praised massive protests all over the world and didn’t say a word about the virus.

Oh shut up
