Clyke, an Elvis Presley impersonator, was supposed to be sentenced in January, but the hearing was adjourned because of comments he made to the author of his presentence report. Clyke had received a pardon or record suspension for all those convictions, which happened between 1990 and 2006, but that was automatically revoked after he pleaded guilty to the latest offence.

“Simply because Mr. Clyke did not plead guilty to a sexual offence does not mean that there is not a sexual element to the offence to which he has pled guilty,” Anstey said.
