WARMINGTON: 6 slain citizens, one missing in 'safe' Kirkland Lake

Six murders. One missing woman. In addition, a man who was taken into custody around the time of four of the slayings remains officially unaccounted for.Thats eight dead, missing or unaccounted for in Kirkland Lake, population 8,000, in recent months.

Lea Thompson, 33, of Kirkland Lake has been identified by OPP as one of two people found dead in a Kirkland Lake home on Aug. 8, 2023 after a wellness check.Martyn Rosko, 38, appeared to be romantically linked to Thompson, according to her Facebook posts.
