the current constitution is a market-friendly document that favours the private sector over the state in aspects like education, pensions and health care. It also makes no reference to the country's Indigenous population, which makes up almost 13 per cent of the population.
If you try to democratically usher in Socialist/communist ideals, it will always fail. They forgot to censor opinions and limit free speech and debate beforehand. That's where this failed.
My Chilean wife voted today, and is very happy with the result.
