Vitamin D supplements could alleviate depression symptoms in adults who have been diagnosed with depression, a recent meta-analysis has found.

Vitamin D supplements could alleviate symptoms of depression in adults, a recent meta-analysis of studies has found.

Each of the studies involved randomized placebo-controlled trials. The results showed that vitamin D supplements were more effective than a placebo at addressing depressive symptoms in adults who have been diagnosed with depression. The supplements also appeared to be more effective when they were taken for less than 12 weeks. In addition, doses of over 100 micrograms per day produced a better effect, the researchers found.

"Despite the broad scope of this meta-analysis, the certainty of evidence remains low due to the heterogeneity of the populations studied and the due to the risk of bias associated with a large number of studies," he said in a news release published Friday.

Well known fact !!!

It's great it may help

Will there ever be a time when you do not act as shills for the pharmaceutical industry? Just curious. How much do they pay you for each of these BS articles

Vitamin D is also a great treatment & preventative for Covid and other illnesses too

I've successfully cured my own depression by eating ivermectin horse paste and sipping Javex bleach at every meal. Smile, and bon appetit!

Manufacturers looking for a new market.

You should see what it does for COVID!

No shit, where have you been for tge past 2 years? Oh yeah, trying to aid the government in unending our countrys way of life

They have known this for decades….this isn’t news.

I could have told you this over a decade ago.

Bourbon can do all that and more

is just covering their ass because if you mentioned proper Vitamin D levels helped protect you from COVID infection, they called you an anti-vaxxer.. But vitamin D DOES help. CTV news is not NEWS it is 'narrative'. They really should be ashamed of themselves.

Expect a well coordinated social media blitz by big pharma operatives is coming. They are going to discredit vitamin D and tell you why it’s bad for you if used to treat depression. Only high cost drugs with numerous side effects from big pharma are to be used for depression.

As if it were that simple to treat.

yeah, depression is very treatable, I heard. And, treating it makes one very interesting for the opposite sex! ;)

“Treat” is a pretty bold claims So, it’s now okay to talk about the health benefits of Vit D but for the past years when mentioning the noted benefits for C19 prevention/recovery one was labelled a tin foil hat Trump loving, neo-Nazi, misogynistic nut job - gotcha.

Be careful CTV. You don`t want to upset your masters.

Good lord. It may ‘assist’ but will NEVER ‘treat’. This is probably one of the most discouraging stories that makes me question why I watch CTV.

Uh oh GidMK 🤦

Isn't that what we get in our OJ and milk supply ?

I overdosed on Vitamin D after reading this.

Let me guess, Vitamin D supplements sold by Pfizer....

How much vitamin D does a mask worn outside block from the sun?

Go outside.

Observation is all that's needed to know that media is hiding the truth from people all day, every day. This looks like another example:

In other news - go outside!

And last week you aired a story that the latest study said there was no benefit from Vitamin D.

Careful , you might get banned for spreading misinformation™

So…basically, go for a walk outside for mere minutes. Leave your house and get exercise will help with depression. Shocking 🙄🤦‍♂️

Experts see Canada's euthanasia laws as threat to disabledAlan Nichols had a history of depression and other medical issues, but none were life\u002Dthreatening. Canada's government doesn't care. If they did, my nine neighbours, two friends and cousin would still be around instead of dead by coercion and I wouldn't be fighting brain inflammation from useless toxic garbage. Almost as much of a threat as the vaccines. No. The process has lots of checks and balances. What they don't like is disabled having the OPTION to check out. They imply disabled are less competent to make such decisions. That is the real insult.

Experts see Canada's euthanasia laws as threat to disabledAlan Nichols had a history of depression and other medical issues, but none were life\u002Dthreatening. It was a savage and barbaric attack to say the least. Oh thank God. Rebecca Carriere did that to FAKE and real schizophrenics (If that illness even exists) behind people's backs and without the person's knowledge or consent. You do realize that euthanasia and MAiD are two completely different things? Canada doesn't have a 'euthanasia' law. Might want to actually research your stories.
