Posted: May 24, 2024 10:34AMVictoria police are investigating after two youths were assaulted, including one who was viciously swarmed and kicked on the ground.Police say two victims were pepper sprayed in the assault, and one was also pushed to the ground and beaten.

Graphic surveillance video released by VicPD shows the moment when one of the victims was pepper sprayed, before being punched and pushed to the ground by three youths. The youths are then seen kicking the victim and continuing to spray him before three bystanders rush over. “Witnesses nearby intervened to stop the assault, and the suspects left the area before officers arrived,” said VicPD in a release Friday.Sign up for the CHEK Now daily email newsletter to get breaking news and the day's top stories sent to your email.One of the victims was taken to hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries, according to VicPD.
