UPDATE: Two people shot during Raptors celebration in Toronto and suffered serious injuries, police say

Toronto Police report that two people were shot just before 5 p.m. during the Raptors celebration near Nathan Phillips Square.SHOOTING:-Injuries serious but not life threatening— Toronto Police OPS June 17, 2019According to Constable David Hopkinson, the two victims suffered serious but not life threatening injuries. Toronto Paramedic Services said a person was being transported to hospital from the scene.

One 25-year-old woman said she had been watching the speeches at the rally when friends pushed her to the side. “We started ducking,” she said. “We got stampeded.” Mike Mudidi said he was enjoying the celebrations when he heard screams behind him that someone had pulled out a gun. He said he froze as people started running in all directions.Some who stayed behind huddled near pillars in Nathan Phillips Square even as the team and several dignitaries — including Prime Minister Justin Trudeau — remained on stage. The ceremony wrapped up a short time later.

An hour before, Toronto Police tweeted that a man was stabbed at the Eaton Centre mall nearby, and suffered serious injuries.

Why no photos and names of shooters? Could be they are an embarrassment to trudeau’s immigration policies?
