HALIFAX, N.S. – The Cape Breton Lynx kicked off the Fall Showcase tournament in Halifax with a loss on Friday.Myriam Theriault had a goal and two assists, while Claire Polchies, Isabelle Michaud, Rachel Foulkers, Grace White and Gracelyn Koch added single markers for the Flames.Western’s Emma Brewer made nine saves. Cape Breton’s Elsa Cameron stopped 16 of 22 shots.
Cape Breton has now lost three straight games to the Western Flames. The team dropped a pair of games to the club earlier this month in Membertou. The Lynx will continue the tournament on Saturday at 8 a.m. against the Western Wind of Prince Edward Island and at 6 p.m. against the Fundy Kraken.
