Media reports not confirmed by the National Post suggested she would enter a guilty plea but face no jail time

The deal requires that she agree to all parts of a four-page statement of facts on the case, and not contradict those facts in future, said prosecutor David Kessler.

The daughter of founder Ren Zhengfei misled bank executives about Huawei’s links to a firm that was doing business contrary to American sanctions against Iran, prosecutors alleged. Her arrest infuriated Chinese authorities, who to this day have accused Canada of kowtowing to the American government and what they characterized as a political ploy, while the extradition process unfolded slowly in a Vancouver court.Within days of her detention, China arrested the two Canadian civilians — businessman Spavor and ex-diplomat Kovrig — levelling vague espionage charges.
