Government orders telecom companies to remove Huawei equipment by 2027

Britain’s National Security Council , chaired by Johnson, decided on Tuesday to ban the purchase 5G components from the end of this year and to order the removal of all existing Huawei gear from the 5G network by 2027.

“This has not been an easy decision, but it is the right one for the U.K. telecoms networks, for our national security and our economy, both now and indeed in the long run,” Britain’s Digital, Culture, Media and Sport Secretary Oliver Dowden told parliament.Article content continued With faster data and increased capacity, 5G will become the nervous system of the future economy – carrying data on everything from global financial flows to critical infrastructure such as energy, defense and transport.Article content continued

Esten51 When will Canada follow our allies and make the sensible decision.

What is Justin Trudeau waiting for?

Canada, US, Australia and India should also ban Huawai as it is under communist party of China and violates Privacy act of all countries.

Very good news. I hope the rest of the world follows suit.

Leaving the country with it's two nationals still in jail under arbitrary arrest and the subject of punitive ad hoc trade restrictions as the lone country not to tell those gangsters in the CCP a firm No to their proxy.

U.K.-China ties freeze with debate over Huawei, Hong KongHostile rhetoric has ratcheted up in recent days between the U.K. and Beijing over its new national security law for Hong Kong. China needs to be careful. She can't survive as a trading nation with only N. Korea and China, plus a few small authoritarian states, as trading partners. To do so would hammer China's economy. She NEEDS Europe and America. Without them she's in big trouble. “China is becoming a very unreliable and dangerous business partner“. About time these political and business executives fools wake up. Life and freedom is cheap in China under the CPP (Chinese Communist Party). China might take more people hostage. They have 2 Canadians on bogus charges because Canada picked up Huawei Hanna. 🤬 Please give her to Trump and get the men home.🇨🇦
