TTC board votes in favour of mandatory masks for customers starting July 2

The TTC says it’s taking other measures to slow the spread of COVID-19 including conducting multiple vehicle and station cleanings each day, equipping subway stations with hand sanitizer dispensers.

globetoronto Mixed emotions. I have 0 issues wearing a facemask if so required. But I’m just concerned that a person may be unable to board & no way to get a mask right then. Maybe they didn’t know, maybe they didn’t anticipate taking the TTC. Can wrapping a shirt around their face suffice?
