The Avalanche are trading defenceman Bowen Byram to the Buffalo Sabres in exchange for forward Casey Mittelstadt.Byram, 22, has appeared in 55 games this season, scoring eight goals and adding 12 assists over 19:51 of ice time a night.The Colorado Avalanche are acquiring defenceman Sean Walker from the Philadelphia Flyers.

Eric Stephens of The Athletic reports the return for Anaheim is believed to be the Oilers' first-round pick in 2024 and a conditional fifth for 2025 that can improve to a fourth if Edmonton wins the Stanley Cup. Josh Yohe of The Athletic notes that multiple teams remain interested but cites multiple sources telling him the Vancouver Canucks are"very aggressively trying to make a deal happen."TSN Hockey Insider Chris Johnston reported Tuesday that the Canucks have discussed flipping Elias Lindholm, acquired just last month in a major trade with the Calgary Flames, to the Boston Bruins to complete the move.

"One of the teams that has shown up with interest is the Vancouver Canucks. A lot of connections there between Patrik Allvin and Jim Rutherford.
