Did you see the Ottawa Police tow trucks at all in your reporting or are you blind. Do you think that Ottawa doesn't own heavy equipment and other tow trucks to support their infrastructure? All which could have been employed in the beginning. Emergencies act for a tow truck.

Police are there to ensure their safety. If they can’t accept the jobs, their business licenses should be revoked. There are plenty of entrepreneurs waiting for a chance to start new towing companies.

It doesn't matter if you like or dislike tow truck drivers. You really can't blame any business atm that is indirectly involved in this shitshow and are hesitant to choose a side on it.
It's not a safety concern. It's the fact they're NOT a small fringe minority and like being a snitch in a prison, they know if you go against one trucker, you go against them all. Even the ones not supporting the convoy. It would be business suicide.

I don't buy their story about the 'risks involved'. Towing is one business that has always involved huge risk and the potential for injury/damage. When there is a huge pile-up on the 401, they come from miles around! They won't admit their bias is all!
