Police in Toronto are hoping amateur car-spotters will be able to help them locate a luxury SUV that was rented on Boxing Day, reported stolen by the company, and is still missing.
That’s one way to deal with disappointing holiday gifts. Didn’t get what you want on Christmas morning? Just steal it the next day! The black Lamborghini Urus, pictured below, was picked up on December 26, 2020, and according to a Toronto Police Service report, had its GPS disabled shortly after leaving the rental lot. It’s been in the wind ever since, its renter apparently considering it a sort of belated Christmas gift for themself.
The vehicle is a 2019 model, black with red interior, bearing the license plate CSB B761. The super-SUV costs north of $200,000 in Canada. Police are encouraging anyone with information on the Lamborghini’s whereabouts, or anyone who “believes they are a victim of a similar theft in the Toronto area,” to contact Crime Stoppers at 416-222-TIPS.
