On Saturday, officers were called to Bais Chaya Mushka Elementary School.Police say video footage revealed that at 4:50 a.m., a dark coloured vehicle pulled up in front of the school and two suspects discharged firearms at the school.Both suspects were wearing dark clothing and fled in a dark coloured vehicle.
The Toronto Police Service Integrated Gun and Gang Task Force is investigating this incident with the support of the Hate Crime Unit. They say you can expect to see an increased police presence in the area, as well as outside of schools and synagogues.Several Ontario cabinet ministers attended a rally outside the school Monday morning, including Education Minister Stephen Lecce, who says he stands shoulder to shoulder with the Jewish community “in defense of democracy, civility, human rights and the rule of law.
