Durham police say Air1 caught up with a suspected impaired driver who got his car stuck after crashing in Whitby and then tried to flee on foot.
Police say the suspect hit another vehicle after getting off Highway 412 and blowing through the intersection, but his car got stuck in a guard rail.The man showed clear signs of impairment and when he was arrested, he blew two times over the legal limit.A 37-year-old Toronto man was charged with operation while impaired, operation while impaired -exceed blood alcohol concentration and leave accident scene.The suspect’s name was not released.
