The federal Conservatives and Bloc Quebecois say they voted in favour of the Liberal government's new financial-aid package for workers affected by the COVID-19 pandemic because Canadians need help.

But they say they are upset about how the government handled the legislation, which included limiting debate on Bill C-4 before putting it to a confidence vote.

Bloc Leader Yves-Francois Blanchet says the opposition's role is to question proposed legislation with the aim of identifying gaps and making it better. But he says didn't happen because the Liberals managed to ram the legislation through the House of Commons with minimal debate, with help from the NDP.

Both Blanchet and Conservative House leader Gerard Deltell specifically took aim at the NDP this morning for agreeing to help the Liberals fast-track the bill, accusing the New Democrats of abandoning their role as an opposition party. The NDP says it did so to provide faster assistance to Canadians cut off from the $2,000-per-month Canada Emergency Response Benefit, or CERB, after it came to an end last weekend.

The number of cases is not really important. But the status of those that test positive. How many are asymptotic, have mild symptoms or require hospitalization? Seriously! Do we need more numbers to understand the severity? Even a single loss of life is enough to stop this madness of school re-opening!

Ontario COVID-19 cases rising; could hit 1,000 a day, modelling showsWith cases now growing in all age groups, the province released projections that show the second wave could have wide-ranging effects on Ontario’s health care system How come you guys never talk about new ICU admissions or deaths? Oh, yeah.. because those stats would conflict with your fear-mongering agenda. It's probably 4 times that high. People with mild symptoms wouldn't be getting tested. The process is too onerous. There also are all the asymptomatic ones. If they gave everybody rapid home testing you might be able to control it. Way to go Ontario! Keep it up!

Elon Musk doubles down on COVID-19 skepticism and says he won't take future vaccineElon Musk said he would not take a COVID-19 vaccine when one becomes available, and declined to say whether he feels a duty to pay employees who want to stay home to avoid contracting the virus. This is good news! I encourage him to continue not receiving medical treatment. No one should take the vaccine unless they want to be sterilized. Who cares, hes a loon
